This AirPods 4 deal makes Apple’s everyday earbuds far more tempting

If you’re looking to upgrade to one of the best headphones, this AirPods 4 deal might be worth a look. They’ve dropped to $99, down from $129 – a straight $30 saving on Apple’s latest entry-level earbuds – thanks to Amazon’s Big Spring Sale in the US.

While not the lowest price they’ve ever been (they hit $69 on black Friday last year), it’s still a decent discount if you missed out on that deal. And they’ve got plenty going for them.

The big one is comfort. Apple tweaked the shape of the buds to fit more ears more securely, while sticking with its familiar open design – so you’re not jamming silicone tips into your ears. If you’ve never got on with in-ear buds, that alone makes them worth considering.

Under the hood, you’re also getting the same H2 chip found in pricier AirPods models. That means fast pairing with Apple devices, more stable connections, and support for features like personalised spatial audio with head tracking. Call quality also gets a boost thanks to voice isolation, which helps cut through background noise when you’re on the phone.

Battery life is solid, too. You’re looking at around five hours of listening from the buds themselves, stretching to roughly 30 hours with the charging case. The case also supports wireless charging and ties into Apple’s Find My network, with a built-in speaker to help you track it down if it goes missing.

What you don’t get here is active noise cancellation – that’s reserved for the pricier model. But if you’re happy with an open-fit design that lets some of the outside world in, this AirPods 4 deal still ticks a lot of boxes for everyday listening.
