Last week’s announcement of the AirPods Max 2 finally put an end to the long wait for over-the-ear headphone fans out there. If you are among those and have been waiting to get yours, the good news is that pre-orders for the AirPods Max 2 are now live.
AirPods Max 2 pre-orders are now available via Apple’s official website
Besides opening pre-orders, Apple has also confirmed that deliveries of AirPods Max 2 will start as early as April 1st. That’s exactly a week from today. If you didn’t catch up with the announcement, the new model closely mimics the design of the original AirPods Max. That said, Apple has done all the improvements under the hood.
The AirPods Max 2 comes with Apple’s H2 chip, which powers improved active noise cancellation, Adaptive Audio, and a new Live Translation feature. Notably, noise cancellation is now up to 1.5x more effective, thanks to better computational audio processing. The company also says that the AirPods Max 2 offers improved audio. Apple has used a new high dynamic range amplifier that offers more consistent bass and clearer mids and highs.
Transparency Mode has also been improved, which ensures outside sounds feel more natural when enabled. As with the original AirPods Max, Apple is promising battery life of up to 20 hours with active noise cancellation enabled. Notably, the new headphones also offer improved wired audio and now use USB-C for charging. Not to forget, the company has also bumped up the Bluetooth version to version 5.3.
The new headphones won’t cost you extra dollars than its predecessor
Well, the best part is that all of the improvements come without a price hike. The AirPods Max 2 still comes with a price tag of $549. You can choose from five different color options: midnight, starlight, blue, purple, and orange. You can pre-order the AirPods Max 2 starting today via Apple’s official website. As of now, the shipping windows are currently listed between April 1 and April 3.
